Pedro Rodríguez is 28 today. The FC Barcelona forward celebrates his birthday on the final day of the team’s trip to the United States, with a game against Premiership champions Chelsea. There’s a long day ahead for him and his team-mates, for after the final whistle, they’re flying straight back to Barcelona, where they are expected to arrive at around 1.30pm on Wednesday 29.

The birthday boy has played a total of 318 official matches for the first team, scoring 98 goals. Last season he was on target 11 times in 50 outings. Happy birthday, champion!
