Interim report by CMA will deny large firms colluding to drive up prices but will recommend new initiatives for switching to lower cost providers
Hopes that a long-awaited report from financial regulators would recommend the breakup of big six energy suppliers such as British Gas and SSE will finally be dashed on Tuesday.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) will deny that the large companies have been colluding to drive up profits and will even suggest reversing a newly-introduced policy which restricts the number of tariffs on offer.
