The Montreal Canadiens solidified their blueline on Saturday afternoon by extending one of their own.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported that the team had come to terms with 22-year-old defenceman Nathan Beaulieu on a two-year contract.

Beaulieu was the Canadiens’ first-round pick in 2011 (17th overall) and has played in 87 NHL games over three seasons.
Last year the young defenceman scored one goal and added eight assists in 64 contests.
